Everything changes—the only constant in life and markets. When we think we have it figured out, it changes. This is true in markets, life, and everywhere else.

Over the past few months, I’ve been getting a lot of solid work done on the coding front. I’ve launched a new writing project. And I’m ready to think about the next phase for this blog. Everything evolves. This blog must, also.

In nearly a decade and a half of blogging, I have built up a huge resource of posts on trading topics. These cover the full range from deep dive quant posts to snapshot chart examples to blogs aimed at developing traders. Of course, one of the issues with content creation is that we’re all kinda like sharks. (Hopefully more so in some ways than others!) If we stop swimming, we die. Current content is more valuable than older content.

I know this, but I’ve been reluctant to revisit topics I’ve covered in the past. And, yes I did write about something, but it’s buried in a post from 2015. In internet terms, that’s basically the same as scratched in cuneiform on a wax tablet and buried in the desert somewhere.

Over the years, my work and experience has generated new questions, refined old perspectives, and maybe called for some new treatments of questions I thought were solidly answered years ago.

Reset

So, I’m doing a reset. Over the next few months, I’ll be writing much more and more consistently here. I’m also allowing myself a fresh start on this blog, including covering topics already well covered. I’m not deleting or even editing old posts—those will remain as a reference—but we’re going forward with a tabula rasa.

One of the minor mysteries of the world is that a writer asking an audience what they want to hear is generally making a big mistake. I’m not doing that, but I want to be responsive to your thoughts and needs. I want to give you a chance to shape this space, with me.

I know readers of my blog cover the full range from working quant professionals to someone who bought some crypto by mistake and is now wondering wtf. I can’t speak to each of you all the time, but I can meet you each on your own field in different ways.

To kick things off, I’m going to start by addressing some very foundational concepts and struggles new traders face.

How you can help

So, gentle reader, I invite you to have a part in shaping this space.

We have created a channel on our MarketLife discord where you can share thoughts, struggles, and topics you might like to see covered here.

It’s all fair game. Ask. I can’t promise that I will answer every question or that every topic will find its way into a post. But I can promise you that I will read every word you write there—understanding your mindset and mistakes will help me create a better resource here.

Join us on the MarketLife Discord. Share what you’re wrestling with—your ideas will help shape what comes next.
